Want to speak at a TEDx? Know someone that would be a great speaker?

TEDxPSUBerks is student-led, faculty-guided team, comprised of the campus’s most active and outgoing students.  10-15 speakers will be chosen from around the community, country, and world to speak at the Perkins Student Center Auditorium.  Held on Veterans Day, the experience will be the defining event of the year.

Speaker Applications are now live!  You can nominate speakers or sign up yourself.  We are also still accepting applications to be a part of the TEDxPSUBerks team.  You can find both applications under the Applications on the navigation bar.

Our theme, (Dis)Connected, is intentionally dual meaning.  Connected / Disconnected

Whether it's a connection to culture and economies driven by technological advancements, or the disconnection from society because of the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) our theme allows us to explore important topics of a modern age.

We've asked our speakers to interpret the theme in any way they like. Join us in discussing these ideas and more on November 11th in the Perkins Student Center at the Penn State Berks.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBerks, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxPSUBerks event, TED Talks video  and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
